In our last post we discussed the sexual harassment allegations lodged by Jodie Fisher against former HP CEO Mark Hurd. The actress was hired as a contractor who would introduce customers to Hurd at important HP events. Fisher alleges that her employment seemed to have significant strings attached and that Hurd saw her as a potential romantic interest. Fisher alleges that over a several year period, Hurd continually made sexual advances toward her including kissing and groping.

"You had designs to make her your lover from the onset using your status and authority as CEO of HP," Fisher's attorney Gloria Allred wrote in a letter to Hurd which demanded a settlement for the alleged sexual harassment. The letter was recently made public after a court unsealed the letter for use as evidence in a shareholder lawsuit against the company.

"At times you would behave professionally seemingly 'getting' that she was not going to have sex with you," Allred wrote. "At other times, not, and you would relentlessly attempt to cajole her into having sex with you."

The sexual harassment allegations led to Hurd's resignation from the company in 2010 following an internal investigation which revealed that he violated the standards of business conduct. It is interesting to note that the HP investigation did not find that Hurd violated the company's sexual harassment policy. Fisher and Hurd both claim that nothing improper happen and dispute the accuracy of the letter, but it is unclear whether these claims arise out of the settlement of the sexual harassment suit.
